Fourth Debut Winner for Caravaggio
for Caravaggio
12 May 2021
A dual Group I winning sprinter by Scat Daddy, Caravaggio shuttled to Coolmore Australia for just one season, but has made a fast start to his stud career in the Northern Hemisphere siring his fourth debut winner overnight at Chantilly in France.
A homebred for well known breeder Peter Savill, trained by Stephane Wattel, Dizzy Bizu showed good pace to lead and was tenacious in winning the five furlong maiden by a head.
The fourth winner from just 10 starters for Caravaggio, Dizzy Bizu is the first foal from stakes-winning Kodiac mare Izzy Bizu.
DGR is delighted to have ownership opportunities remaining in a strong, robust colt from the first Southern Hemisphere crop by G1 winning two and three-year-old Caravaggio. He is out of the sprint-winning Lonhro mare Kimblewick and was purchased for A$170,000 from Lime Country’s Magic Millions Yearling draft.
