First Stakes-Winner for Caravaggio
for Caravaggio
7 June 2021
Brilliant grey dual G1 winning sprinter Caravaggio (USA) shuttled for just one season to Coolmore Australia and that crop of foals have been sold at our yearling sales this year, the son of Scat Daddy making news overnight siring his first stakes-winner.
A homebred for well known breeder Peter Savill, trained by Stephane Wattel, Dizzy Bizu made it two wins in as many starts when powering clear to win the Listed Prix La Fleche (1000m) by a length and three-quarters.
The first stakes-winner among six first crop winners for Caravaggio, Dizzy Bizu is the first foal from stakes-winning Kodiac mare Izzy Bizu.
DGR is delighted to have limited ownership opportunities remaining in a strong, robust colt from the first Southern Hemisphere crop by G1 winning two and three-year-old Caravaggio. He is out of the sprint-winning Lonhro mare Kimblewick and was purchased for A$170,000 from Lime Country’s Magic Millions Yearling draft.
