Saving One Of The Best For Last

The Best For Last

Dear Readers,

Inglis Easter formed the final stop on DGR Thoroughbred’s tour of yearling sales for 2025, and it saw an incredible 25 horses sell for $1m or more, a result that was all the more impressive when taking into account the current global financial trends.

One such lot was a So You Think yearling that sold for $1.15 million, and with more than a few So You Think’s on our own shortlist, I’m pleased to advise that we managed to secure a colt for the bargain price of $200,000 — a near $1m discount.

An impressive son of legendary Group 1 sire So You Think from the Group 2-winning and stakes-producing Bernardini mare, Ruud Not Too (NZ). This colt shows the same athleticism as his sire and is primed to dominate on the track. He is the third living foal from his six-time-winning dam, who has started her own successful legacy at stud, with her first foal Cottee now a six-time race winner in her own right, including the 2024 Listed Queensland Tatt’s RC Tattersall’s Mile.

This strapping So You Think x Ruud Not Too (NZ) colt delivers the same scope and potential without compromising on quality and I encourage you to act quickly as he won’t last long.
