I’m pleased to share that the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale once again proved a source of great buying, and I was able to secure three top-quality yearlings at excellent value.

Each of these yearlings has the potential to make a splash on the track and, significantly, I was able to purchase them for competitive prices below or close to the sale average.

Working with some expert trainers in Phillip Stokes and Chris Anderson, these horses will have every chance and at the time of writing, there are limited ownership opportunities available.  

The Phillip Stokes-trained New Bay x Dusky Queen colt is a naturally athletic horse and one of only two New Bay yearlings bred on southern hemisphere time.

As a Group 1-winning son of Dubawi, New Bay brings a legacy of class and has already established a reputation as a sire of note, having had 18% stakes horses to runners from his first crop, headlined by three individual Group 1 winners and the undefeated star colt Bay City Roller.

This colt’s dam Dusky Queen (IRE) is a stakes winner of five races and has already produced four winners, including Group winner Royalty Interest and stakes horses Un Instant and Nizaaka.

There are already a number of leading owners committed to him, so move quickly to join his ownership group.

My second purchase was the Stay Inside x Helix Park filly with Chris Anderson.

She’s a very athletic filly, made very much in the mould of her Golden Slipper-winning sire. Stay Inside was the top juvenile of his year, gaining honours as Australia’s Champion 2YO.

She has lovely scope and fluidity about her, an extraordinary brain, and she looks to be of a very trainable type. 

And finally, we have the impressive Peltzer x Miss Entice colt, the second foal from the 4-time-winning Dash For Cash mare Miss Entice who has already produced current season 3YO stakes placegetter Statuario. 

Peltzer is renowned as the fastest, highest-rated and most precocious 2YO by So You Think. Taking after his sire, this colt is very attractive with a powerful hindquarter and he’s got plenty of size and scope. We partnered with Chris Anderson on this colt and look forward to having him trained from his Eagle Farm base.
