2yo Extreme Choice filly impresses at the trials

impresses at the trials

There were 14 trials this morning at Randwick and we got to see a serious Everest contender in Think About It, an unraced $1.25million Zoustar 3YO and there were two heats for new season juveniles with winners by Written Tycoon and Extreme Choice.

One of the juvenile heat for fillies was won by the Anthony Cummings-trained Extreme Choice filly Extreme Diva, who scored by half a length in a field of four clocking 44.11 seconds. She had the advantage of barrier one and led for Tommy Berry before working nicely to the line with the remaining three fillies, two by Snitzel and one by Tassort all going nicely.

Extreme Diva was a $400,000 Magic Millions purchase for DGR Thoroughbreds from the Silverdale Farm draft and is a half-sister to two winners from On a Given Day, a winning Fastnet Rock mare from the family of Group I winners Snitzel and Private Eye. There’s not a lot of this filly at present, so autumn might be more her time and her trainer Anthony Cummings knows a bit about the breed having trained She’s Extreme to win the G1 Champagne Stakes and VRC Oaks.
