A picture of pure athleticism, this colt represented excellent value and Duncan was thrilled to secure him for A$100,000 from Mill Park Stud’s Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling draft.
By a stallion that needs no introduction, this colt is by 10-time Group One winner So You Think. The sire of six individual Group One winners and 44 stakes winners, So You Think’s best progeny include G1 Surround Stakes winner Nakeeta Jane, G1 Australian Derby winner Quick Thinker, G1 Rosehill Guineas winner D’Argento, G1 NZ 1000 Guineas winner La Bella Diosa, G1 SAJC Oaks winner Sopressa and G1 Randwick Guineas winner Inference.
This colt is out of the three-time sprint winning More Than Ready mare, Lassie Mactavish. She is the dam of three winners, including precocious G2 Wakeful Challenge Stakes runner-up Platinum Balos who was also third in the G1 ARC Diamond Stakes as a two-year-old.
All of her winning progeny have been successful over sprint distances, indicating that she has the ability inject speed into her foals.
Born and raised at one of Australia’s most successful thoroughbred nurseries in Mill Park Stud, this colt will be trained by a regular trainer of DGR’s, Phillip Stokes.
Phillip has had great success with DGR’s horses, including five-time winner Good Idea and multiple stakes winner Miss Gunpowder whom he trained in the early part of her career. Already confirmed in the ownership are Think Big Stud and C & A Jackson who enjoyed great success with multiple Group 1 winner Faint Perfume together.
This horse is now fully subscribed.
Duncan's Comments
“Bred and raised at one of Australia’s best thoroughbred nurseries in Mill Park Stud, this colt is out of a More Than Ready mare and presents as a potentially faster variety of So You Think and looks to fit the same mould as Group winning miler, Peltzer.”
