This filly is a queen in every respect and is the type of horse we come to New Zealand to buy. From a leading nursery with an excellent pedigree and physique to match, she is destined for success and will get every chance under the watchful eye of top fillies trainer John Sargent.
Trained by John Sargent, Royal Randwick.
Purchased for $340,000 from Curraghmore’s NZB Karaka Yearling draft, this filly is by exciting young sire Cosmic Force.
Cosmic Force showed great precocity as a juvenile, winning on debut as a pre-Christmas 2yo before taking out the G3 Pago Pago Stakes and contesting the G1 Golden Slipper. He came back as a 3yo to win the G2 Roman Consul Stakes (beating Golden Slipper runner-up Microphone), among other stakes placings.
He has already left a blazing trail with his oldest crop, which are just two, siring multiple winners, including hot G1 Blue Diamond contender Stay Focused, plus 2yo stakes placegetters Beer Baron and Full Force.
This filly is from the stakes-producing Zabeel mare Zadancer, the dam of 5-time winner and multiple stakes placegetter Tavidance.
She was one of the most admired fillies on the complex as the underbidders being very successful buyers attested, and trainer Roger James and The Oak’s Dick Karreman made us stretch to buy the filly we were really targeting at this sale.
She was offered through leading vendor Curraghmore Stud’s draft, who continue to produce some of New Zealand’s best racehorses. Her physical and athletic appearance answers the question; she was so sought after, and she’s backed by a tremendous pedigree, being out of a daughter of prolific Champion Broodmare Sire Zabeel.
Ownership opportunities are available to race her with DGR and famed fillies trainer John Sargent. Get in touch with Duncan for more information.
