Race an athletic colt by proven sire All Too Hard out of a mare that boasts a 100% winners-runners strikerate. He was secured by DGR’s Duncan Ramage for A$170,000 from Cressfield’s Magic Millions Yearling draft.
Trained by Chris Anderson, Eagle Farm
DGR’s Duncan Ramage headed to the sale ring with a “don’t miss him” instruction on this colt. He’s an incredible athlete with plenty of scope and a temperament to die for.
By one of Australia’s most consistent stallions in All Too Hard, this colt’s price tag in the Book 2 sale certainly reflects the amount of quality and subsequent interest he possessed so Duncan was rapt to come out on top of the bidding war.
His sire All Too Hard maintains a consistent winners to runners strike rate of 63% and a stakes winners to runners strike rate of over 7%. His top progeny include G1 Memsie and G1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes winner Behmoth, G1 Australian Guineas winner Alligator Blood, plus Group winners Frosted Gold, Villermont, Demonetization and Dawn Dawn.
This colt is out of the Beautiful Crown mare, Nikkirina. She has been an excellent producer with all four foals to the races being winners.
Despite limited opportunities at stud, she has left five-time winning sprinter/miler Nikkas ‘n’ a Twist, three-time winning sprinter Fancy Nickers, (both by Youthful Legs) plus middle distance winner Casirina and sprint winner Little Nikkas (by Where’s That Tiger).
He will be trained by DGR’s recently uncovered training talent Chris Anderson who has impressed with his training feats of DGR’s Group winner Ballistic Boy.
With Think Big Stud opting to race a portion of this colt, he will race in their legendary silks.
This horse is now fully subscribed.
“We waited patiently deep into Sunday to make our only attempt of the day with a “don’t miss” instruction on this colt. He’s just a super athlete and proved very popular with the buying bench.”
