A brilliant juvenile type purchased to target the lucrative Magic Millions bonus scheme. Exceptionally bred, he is from the first crop by I Am Invincible sire Strasbourg, from the 2YO stakes-winning mare Strykum. He is perfectly placed at Eagle Farm to target such schemes with Chris Anderson.
Trained by Chris Anderson, Eagle Farm.
Duncan and trainer Chris Anderson struck gold at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale with the purchase of a colt bred to be an elite juvenile.
Offered as Lot 433, he was purchased for $220,000 from The Chase’s draft.
He hails from the first crop by G2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes winner Strasbourg (I Am Invincible) and is from stakes-winning two-year-old, Strykum.
This colt’s dam is a stakes-winning two-year-old that won on two occasions between 1050 and 1200 metres. A top-performing juvenile, she took out the Listed SAJC Queen Adelaide Stakes and also placed in the G3 SAJC National Stakes.
His dam has had one foal to the races for one winner, making him a half-brother to Stryke ’em Onesie. He’s bred and built to be a two-year-old and will be targeted towards the lucrative Magic Millions bonus scheme.
He will be trained by Eagle Farm-based trainer Chris Anderson, trainer of DGR Magic Millions purchases Ballistic Boy (G3 Rough Habit Plate & Listed Doomben Mile winner/$740,000 earner) and Profit (multiple Stakes placegetter/$476,000 earner).
Duncan's Comments
“It's been a while since DGR purchased one of these 2yo sprint incentive race winners and with the announcement of a raft of Magic Millions races going up one beyond next year, it was time to get a target-specific horse. This is just the horse for it and we stay very close to all those options through our very successful union with Eagle Farm trainer Chris Anderson.”
