This colts mating is from the last crop devised by legendary studmaster, Sir Patrick Hogan. Conceived when Tavistock commanded his highest fee of $65,000, this colt hails from what is believed to be his sire’s best book of mares.
His dam Victoria Belle boasts a perfect producing record with three to race for three winners; including Champion 3YO in Singapore Mr Clint. Rated as the best Tavistock on the grounds by many, this colt is bred on the highly successful Tavistock/ Zabeel cross.
This cross runs at 17% stakes winners-runners for colts and has been responsible for producing Group One Derby winners Johnny Get Angry, Werther and Tarzino, as well as high-class Group winners Hasselhoof, Gobstopper and Pacrorus.
This family has produced genuine champions Foxwood, Sovereign Red and Gurner’s Lane.
This colt has now been named John Of Lancaster.
“This colt was rated highly by many on the grounds at Karaka this year and I wasn't going to go home without him. There is alot to like about him, he's a real athlete and is bred on the proven Tavistock/Zabeel cross.”
