Don’t Think Too Hard
An impressive son of legendary Group 1 sire So You Think from the Group 2-winning and stakes-producing Bernardini mare, Ruud Not Too (NZ). This colt shows the same athleticism as his sire and is primed to dominate on the track.
By proven sire Toronado, this colt is out of Avozinha – a winning half-sister to 10-time Group 1 winner and international Champion, So You Think, plus G3 Carbine Club Stakes runner-up Now You Know. An absolute athlete from head to toe, he has been hugely popular and much admired by his trainer, who snapped up a share for himself and his brother.
Trained by John Sargent, Royal Randwick
This colt caught the eye of Duncan Ramage the first time he stepped out of his box. An absolute athlete from head to toe, he was bred by the same co-breeder as former DGR-purchased Champion, So You Think.
Offered as Lot 466 at the NZB Karaka Yearling Sale, he was purchased for $180,000 from Landsdowne Park.
By proven sire Toronado, he is out of Avozinha – a young Reliable Man half-sister to 10-time Group 1 winner and international Champion, So You Think, plus G3 Carbine Club Stakes runner-up Now You Know.

A stunning filly from the first crop of Champion 2YO Golden Slipper winner, Stay Inside. This filly’s pedigree is elevated by her dam, Helix Park, a half-sister to stakes winner Outdo and stakes-placed Miraculous Miss. She has lovely fluidity about her, an extraordinary brain, and she looks to be of a very trainable type.
An impressive colt from the second crop of So You Think’s fast Group-winning sprinter/miler Peltzer. He is the second foal from the 4-time-winning Dash For Cash mare Miss Entice who has already produced current season 3YO stakes performer Statuario. He, too, is by a sire son of So You Think in D’Argento, so we already know this cross works and he’s a colt with plenty of size and scope.
Duncan's Comments
“An impressive individual, bred by the same co-breeder of our Champion So You Think and a close relative of the great horse—being the second foal of his winning half-sister. Did the market overlook him? Trainer John Sargent didn’t think so, securing a share for himself and his brother. As we go to print, there’s seriously not much left of him.”
