Purchased for $200,000 from Coolmore Stud’s elite draft, this colt is a striking and athletic individual who presents exceptional value for prospective owners. Offering a nearly $1 million discount compared to other So You Think progeny purchased at the 2025 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, he delivers the same scope and potential without compromising on quality.
Offered as Lot 132 at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, he is the third living foal from six-time race Ruud Not Too (NZ), whose victories include the G2 Rich Hill Mile. Her dam Too Many Diamonds—the half to G3 winner Royal Asscher—has produced six foals, five of which are race winners. Ruud Not Too has also started her own successful legacy at stud, with her first foal Cottee now a six-time race winner in her own right, including the Listed Queensland Tatt’s RC Tattersall’s Mile.
This colt takes after his renowned sire, So You Think, an exceptional 10-time Group 1 winner across two hemispheres. So You Think has also made his mark as a sire, with Group 1 winners such as Think About It, Think It Over, Quick Thinker, Inference, Nakeeta Jane, and more dominating on the track.
His consistency as a sire is remarkable, with So You Think securing second place on the ‘Leading Sires in Australia 2021-2024’ table.
So You Think boasts an impressive strike rate of 66.2% winners/runners and 5.6% stakes winners/runners, with his best-bred crops still to race. This colt possesses all the attributes to enhance these enviable statistics.
In a recent addition to this colt’s pedigree, Lucy in the Sky (2022 filly by Hello Youmzain out of Too Many Diamonds) made an impressive debut victory at Ellerslie (22/2/25), before finishing sixth in the G1 Sistema Stakes at her next start.
