Duncan Ramage and Eagle Farm-based trainer Chris Anderson combined at the Inglis HTBA May Yearling Sale to secure an athletic colt by proven sire Smart Missile from the sprint-winning Bernardini mare, Admission.
Exceptionally well-related colt from the first SH crop by 5-time G1 winner Shalaa. This colt is the first foal out of the High Chaparral mare Methyar and was purchased for A$180,000 from Arrowfield Stud’s Magic Millions Yearling draft.

An exceptional colt from the first crop of Southern Hemisphere yearlings by two-year-old Group One winner Shalaa.
This colt is the first foal out of the young High Chaparral mare Methyar who is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Al Jazi and stakes performer Rime a Rien.
This colt’s sire Shalaa was a magnificent racehorse, winning six of his eight career starts, including five at Group level. By sire of sires Invincible Spirit, Shalaa shuttles to Australia’s iconic stallion making farm Arrowfield Stud from his Northern Hemisphere base at Al Shaqab.
DGR Thoroughbred Services have had an incredible amount of fun racing horses with trainer Chris Anderson. Four yearlings were purchased in 2018; all four have run, three have won, and two have been prominent in major Group and million-dollar races, including Profit and Ballistic Boy.
He is expected to be another sharp sort for the Chris Anderson stable and was very well priced in the Magic Millions market.
This colt has now been names Shalaa King.

Duncan and G1 trainer Phillip Stokes struck early at the Gold Coast Magic Millions Yearling Sale to secure a son of Champion 3YO Colt in Europe Almanzor and Savabeel mare, Hurry.
