Athletic filly by G1 sire Dundeel - DGR Thoroughbred Services

The next Victoria Quay?

Victoria Quay?

Race a beautifully related filly by proven sire of Group One winners, Dundeel. Duncan secured her from Lime Country’s Inglis Easter Yearling draft for A$150,000.

Trained by John Sargent

Earlier this year, DGR’s Duncan Ramage secured this beautifully put together and exceptionally well related Dundeel filly at the 2020 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.

She is bred on a similar cross to G2 Wakeful Stakes winner Victoria Quay, being by leading young Group One sire Dundeel, out of the young stakes-winning Flying Spur mare Green Roller. Green Roller was a winner of five races between 1600m and 2400m, including the Listed TRC Strutt Stakes over 2100m.

This filly’s pedigree is packed with appeal. Her dam Green Roller is by prolific Broodmare Sire Flying Spur who features as the damsire of many greats, including Group One winners Pierata, Nakeeta Jane, Brooker, Shillelagh, Preferment, Speak Fondly and Headway.

Green Roller is out of the Stakeswinning Canny Lad mare Given, making her a half-sister to Bequests, the dam of G1 NZ Two Thousand Guineas winner Ugo Foscolo.

There are limited ownership opportunities remaining in this classic style of filly; she is currently pre-training at Hannover Lodge and will be heading to John Sargent’s stable in the coming days.

This filly has now been named Left Reeling.

Duncan's Comments

“This filly has plenty of appeal. She's a lovely athletic type that looks to fit the mould of being a top three-year-old contender.”
