Purchased for $120,000 from Paramount Thoroughbred’s Inglis Classic draft, this colt is by leading sire So You Think from the stakes performed mare Valley Sweetheart.
His dam won over 1200m and was 0.1 lengths runner-up in the 3yo Listed MVRC William Crockett Stakes behind Lake Geneva. He is a half-brother to two winners, including Spring Valley and Hammoon Sweetheart.
Former DGR yearling purchase So You Think continues to go from strength to strength and is the sire of 11 individual Group 1 winners.
Recent top tier winners include multiple Group 1 winner and $20 million The Everest hero Think About It, plus G1 Tattersall’s Tiara winner Palaisipan.
Much like his sire, this colt is a striking individual purchased at immense value very early in the sale and presented as an athletic type with all the attributes Duncan looks for in the progeny of the highly esteemed So You Think.
Get it quick, limited ownership opportunities are available to race him with DGR and top Eagle Farm-based trainer Chris Anderson. Get in touch with Duncan for more information.
Duncan's Comments
“They say the early bird catches the worm, and that certainly appeared to be our advantage on Day 1 of Inglis Classic, purchasing Lot 3 for, dare I say, just $120,000. A son of So You Think who is no less an individual and prospect than the three So You Think’s we purchased at Magic Millions in January, which are all fully subscribed. Our regular trainer, Chris Anderson, was in the lucky seat beside our team as we purchased this colt and was able to secure him for his stable ahead of similar approaches from leading trainers.”
