Secured from the leading nursery at Arrowfield Stud, this colt represented great buying at Inglis Easter for DGR’s Duncan Ramage who went to A$200,000 to win the bidding.
This colt is one of only seven yearlings from the last crop by Champion Sire Redoute’s Choice to be offered at the 2021 Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.
There isn’t much that Redoute’s Choice hasn’t achieved. He has been crowned Champion Australian Sire, Champion Broodmare Sire and Champion 2YO Sire on multiple occasions.
Redoute’s Choice is the sire of 178 individual Stakes winners and nearly 40 individual Group One winners. His Stakes winners/runners strikerate also sits at a staggering 11.8 percent.
He is a dominant sire of sires, and his legacy lives on through his Group One producing sons Snitzel (four-time Champion Australian Sire), Not A Single Doubt, Stratum and Nadeem.
This colt is the third foal out of the young, imported Halling mare Phyllis Maud. She was a precocious juvenile, winning on debut by seven lengths and notched up four career wins in Great Britain.
Boasting an excellent pedigree, his dam is a half-sister to four-time Group One winner Hartnell (also placed in 14 G1’s), Stakes winner Roz and multiple Stakes placegetter Ursula.
His damsire Halling is a proven broodmare sire and his daughters have produced 29 Stakes winners.
In addition to having an impeccable ‘Easter’ pedigree, this colt passed all of Duncan Ramage’s physical assessments “Dr John Peatfield and I both felt he was a very balanced colt in the right proportions. He has the movement of a good Redoute’s Choice colt and represented excellent buying early on in the sale,” said Duncan.
To top off this recipe for success, he will be trained by formidable Randwick based training duo Peter and Paul Snowden.
With the end of an era for Redoute’s Choice now upon us, there is no better time than the present to get involved in the ownership of one of his last crop yearlings.
This horse is now fully subscribed.
